Daniel is certified as a Rock Steady Boxing assistant coach.  He is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist.

For the past two years Dan has been helping clients achieve their goals through solid technique and evidence-based principles. A lifelong hiker and cross country skier, Dan fell in love with exercising in the outdoors through frequent trips to the Adirondacks as a kid. He simultaneously developed a passion for music and earned a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance from the Manhattan School of Music. He spent college summers getting his fix of the great outdoors by working as a white water rafting guide on the Upper Hudson Gorge. After college, his thirst for adventure led him to Nepal, where he would spend much of the next decade trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas, performing and teaching music, and operating a nonprofit organization he founded to promote music education.

There came a point, however, where Dan neglected to prioritize his physical health, and he fell significantly out of shape. In 2019 he made a change through functional strength training and conditioning, returned to running and hiking, and has since completed five marathons. He uses this experience to motivate and challenge clients while retaining a sense of empathy and compassion for each individual’s unique fitness journey.
